Mark was called in to work the first Friday the girls were home; however he came home early sick. Things went downhill very quickly. He was REALLY sick. It became pretty apparent that he had H1N1 (really high fever, severe body aches, fatigue, chills).
Charis also had a really hard time that Friday with the girls, so my friend Charity picked up Charis for the weekend, as she brought us some groceries. Unfortunately, I didn't realize what issues that would bring up with Esther Islande and Zoe Katiana. The girls had a hard time with Charis being gone.
After talking to my sister Saturday, she hopped on a plane and flew out from California, arriving in the Springs late that night. She came over Sunday morning and we decided to go to church. We sat in the back and let the girls color. They did really well.

It was such a blessing to have Rebecca here. She offered to cook, but we had been so blessed with people bringing us dinner nearly nightly. But she cleaned, did laundry, helped with the girls, and was a huge encouragement to me. She even took Mark to urgent care Sunday night.
The girls really loved being with my sister. We were aware we may have been making mistakes according to the attachment experts, but I really needed my sister that week. She also stayed at a hotel, rather than staying at the house, which probably was the best.

Rebecca left Thursday. Mark was still ill, but was starting to come around. He was up most of the weekend, and then started a regular full-time position Monday at Focus on the Family.
We are so thankful for God's provision – for Mark's job, that my sister was able to come, for all the meals that have been provided!!
