Esther and Zoë Go to the Dentist

I took the girls to the dentist yesterday. I would have liked to have held off on this, but Esther had been complaining about her teeth hurting.

The girls did beautifully, but we will be returning for two more visits for Esther and one more for Zoë. Esther has a cavity in each of her four permanent molars. Zoë has two cavities in her bottom back molars, but they are so bad that the dentist said if the teeth had been permanent ones, she'd have to have root canals in each. But instead they will clean them out, fill with medicine and cap them.

Ka-ching! Thank goodness we have dental insurance now!

Esther Islande is ready for her X-rays and did wonderfully! The staff was fabulous with the girls!

I told Esther Islande she looks like Stevie Wonder like this.

Zoë and Charis waiting. Charis was bummed since she didn't get to keep her appointment. She has a cold, so we postponed.

Esther goes first and is such a trooper! There were some chair-gripping moments during the scraping, but we were there to comfort her.

Zoë and Charis kept themselves busy with the important work of coloring.

Esther Islande's X-rays. These panarama views always freak me out. It's like the Shroud of Turin or something.

It's Zoë's turn!

Handling the bite-wings like a pro!

She had to sit on a stool for the panarama X-ray. The machine wouldn't lower enough.

She's all smiles and ready to go!

She did great as the hygienist cleaned her teeth.

Zoë Katiana the rockstar.

No words to describe this ...

Zoë Katiana's X-ray. The dentist pointed out that her top front teeth are going to come in forward. The joys of looking forward to orthodontic work!

We finishsed our cavity fillings on Wil on Wednesday. They were able to laser 3 of them but the 4th required numbing and she did fantastic. We did 2 fillings last week and two this week. Her teeth were hurting too, but now she says it doesn't hurt. Thank God for good detnal experiences up front.

Love those Glasses! But the girls look like they did really well. Haven't gotten Asher to the dentist yet since he had so many other things to take care of...but I think it's time to go. Thanks for the reminder. Loved catching up with you! Terry

I think mine have problems with their molars because they freak if I try to brush them! Guess we will have to go sooner or later but we need to get them added to Rick's insurance.
