Pursuit Cakes

I was asked to make two half-sheet cakes (12x18) for the graduation party for The Pursuit School of Ministry. The school held its first graduation ceremony this weekend at church. The "logo" cake is vanilla butter cake; the "name" cake is chocolate-chocolate.

I made four quarter-sheets (9x13) and cut an inch off the end to make it 12x18 put together. (I don't have room in my freezer to make a 12x18. I really hope to get a chest freezer one of these days).
To put into perspective how much cake is actually there, it's like making eight boxes of mix, but I made half of it from scratch. I did use half box mix to keep costs down.
