Posing with one of the life-size replicas of one of the zoo's many giraffes.
Esther loved the giraffes. She even tried to pet them, but since we didn't have crackers for them, they didn't give her the time of day.
This lioness was very curious about how the onlookers would taste. She tried to paw her way through the glass.
Zoë wasn't too sure, but I think she mostly liked it.
Esther loved it, too!
The girls were able to pet a pancake tortoise, like the one that visited Charis' class a few weeks ago.
And then we visited the gorillas ...

seriously-- how did i miss you??? we were there from 1:30-3 pm!
Em, we were there from about 2:30 to 5. Were the elephants out when you were there?
