When people think of Kansas, what comes to mind usually is: flat, endless fields of wheat or corn, and boring. But that's Western Kansas. Fredonia is in the southeastern corner -- it's lush, hilly, humid and beautiful. It would be a great place to live (except there aren't any jobs -- all of my cousins' kids have had to go to the big cities for work).
I think it was our second day that we went fishing at my cousin's pond.

How fun! Reminds me of the mini-series Disney made of "Little House on the Prairie" that the girls and I are watching right now. We love it!
Ash, last time we went to Kansas, which was 3 years ago, we did visit the real little house on the prairie site. I was looking through those pictures, in awe of how little Charis was.
I am not a fishing fan (probably because I've never caught a fish!=), but the trip looks like it was lots of fun!
