Charis looking for Easter eggs at a friend's house. We went to church Saturday night (and it was snowing). We were invited to lunch Sunday at the home of friends, who also are adopting from Haiti. Charis and another girl were the youngest and the guys "hid" the eggs for them in a special area while the older kids were in other yards. It was still pretty cold in the afternoon (40s).
There were three "special" eggs -- two were numbered to correspond with huge chocolate bunnies. The third contained a $5 bill. It was hidden under the tarp on the tower of the swing set. The wind blew it out and Charis found it. She was disappointed it wasn't chocolate and didn't know what to do with it!
On Wednesday, we joined some friends at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo (with about a million other people) -- the weather was GORGEOUS (sunny and 70!) and everyone was taking advantage of it before the cold returns. First stop at the zoo is always the giraffe area. You can get really close to the giraffes, which Charis still didn't like.

Don't you just love the flip-flopping of the weather this time of year? We just got thunder, lightening, rain, hail, sleet, and snow today. Go figure! I'm sure that the geese I've been watching nexting outside the window at work in the parking lot are really confused about now!
We were in the high 60s Wednesday, 40s yesterday and low-20s, bitterly cold, freezing drizzle with icy roads today. Supposed to be back in the mid-60s tomorrow. Good grief!
